2. API Keys & AI Processing (Bring Your Own Key)
Connectgold uses a Bring-Your-Own-Key (BYOK) architecture:
Your Google Gemini API key is stored securely on your local device using Android private app storage. It is never transmitted to our servers.
When you send prompts or attachments, they are routed directly from your device to the Google Gemini API endpoint over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Usage is governed by Google AI Studio Terms of Service.
3. Local Storage & Chat Sovereignty
On-Device Storage: All chat histories, task observations, and prompt sessions are kept strictly inside your local device database.
Manual Backup & Restore: You retain complete control over your conversation logs. You can export your chats as an unencrypted JSON file to your chosen directory (local storage, SD card, or personal cloud drive) and restore it at your own discretion.
4. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions
Subscriptions (such as Pro Premium) are processed directly by the Google Play Billing system. We do not process, receive, or store your credit card, bank, or billing information. All transactions are handled securely by Google Play.
5. Third-Party Services
The app integrates standard Google Play libraries to maintain reliability and security:
Google Play In-App Updates & Reviews: Facilitates seamless client updates and rating prompts managed directly by Google Play.
Google Play Integrity API: Protects the application binary against tampering and fraudulent deployment.

Connectgold does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. The application does not collect personally identifiable information from any user.
